Property sales in Lebanon slumped by around a third last year. The sharp slowdown has been blamed on Saudi Arabian investors pulling out of the market. Experts believe it is to do with a recent dispute between Lebanon and the Gulf Cooperation Council over Hezbollah’s rising influence in the region.
