Real Estate Coaching – Why so many agents fail is partly due to the way our industry works. Each month we get a publication from the National Association of Realtors. In every issue I count up the number of full page articles or ads on two topics: Technology and Sales Skills. In atypical issue there are ten or eleven on tech, how many on Sales? That’s right none! In some states it says salesperson right on your license, it says for sale on the sign, this is the sales business, and our own industry is sending us a computer magazine! There are about ten situations you will find yourself in while selling real estate – presentations to give. A Listing Presentation, Pricing Presentation, Price reduction presentation, For Sale by Owner Presentation, Expired Listing Presentation, Buyer Presentation, Showing a Home, Writing an acceptable offer, Offer Presentation, Investor Presentation. Okay, that’s not so many, but the industry always is teaching us about risk reduction or marketing, or technology. What we need is the set of words for each of those few situations to get people to meet with us, and then to sign stuff! You very quickly would be earning an above average income if we just mastered these very few presentations! Why don’t most agents master these, because the industry always has us worrying about risk reduction, technology, playing around on social media, trying not to get sued, but none of that will ever matter if you cannot sell! That’s what nobody ever gets around to teaching us! If you want to learn how to sell in real estate and you don’t learn it form Fearless Agent… you have very few options, because everyone else teaches marketing. And when the marketing works, and they call you and want to interview you and a few other agents, then you’re going to need to know sales skills to beat your competition because the marketing has already worked!
