The Remax Exclusive Collection Team has a chat about the benefits of working with a team instead of an independent agent when buying or selling a home. There are obviously pros and cons to each style; but in our opinion, the benefits of using a real estate team (a team of Realtors and staff that work together to assist our customers) are vast.
There may be folks who wish to work with an individual Realtor rather than a team because they feel as if they will be “passed around”, but that isn’t a concern with the way that our team is structured. The idea is for the team to provide support for, not replace, the customer’s primary agent. The customer still only has one Realtor, but the team is comprised of both staff and other Realtors. The staff is there for paperwork, photos, videos, social media, and so much more (it’s true that a team would be more beneficial for someone selling their home rather than buying one) and the other agents are there only in case they are needed (last minute showing prior to making a highest and best offer, primary Realtor has car trouble, etc).
As pointed out in the Forbes article, “Consumers can benefit from the diversity of individual realtor team members experience in different geographic areas and technical savvy. The meteoric rise of social media has had a significant impact on traditional real estate marketing and some agents are better at it than others, a team can share each other’s strengths and fortify each other’s weaknesses.” We agree with this whole-heartedly, and it’s at the heart of our team’s discussion in this video.
